CURRENT JOB OPENINGS:


AutoCad Drafter/Checker

Almet Inc. is seeking a qualified Drafter/Checker for full-time position. Structural and miscellaneous steel background a plus. Essential duties include using AutoCad to prepare detail drawings, assembly drawings and sketches. Work closely with all departments to ensure drawings are error free and convey the correct information. Salary corresponds with education and/or experience.



ESTIMATOR/TAKEOFF

Responsible for developing cost estimates on projects under direct supervision of the Vice-President of Sales. Essential Duties include: Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid. Read and interpret contract drawings, specifications, and addenda. Execute take-offs of construction documents. Obtain pricing for materials. Obtain bids from sub contractors. Education: Collegiate Associates degree or greater in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering Technology and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.



FITTER

Fitters read and interpret drawings and perform torching, tacking, and welding operations in order to assemble parts into finished products. Duties include checking all prior work done on the piece, verifying the correctness of parts before assembling, and properly marking the piece and the paperwork with the appropriate information. You are also responsible for operating any equipment or machinery required in the fitting process.
